A Pathway From Homelessness to Stability

Safe housing is the foundation for rebuilding stability. Project Hospitality’s housing and shelter programs support individuals and families experiencing homelessness across Staten Island, providing safe spaces and clear pathways from life on the streets to stable housing and renewed independence.

How We Support Individuals and Families

Housing services provide more than shelter. Participants are connected with the resources, referrals and guidance needed to address immediate needs while building long-term stability.

  • Three daily meals

  • Showers and laundry facilities

  • Case management and housing placement assistance

  • Benefits enrollment and advocacy

 Housing Programs

Single Adult Drop-In Center

The Single Adult Drop-In Center provides a safe space for adults experiencing homelessness. Open 24/7, the center supports individuals as they take the first steps toward transitional and permanent housing. Visitors can connect with staff, access services, and begin building stability, regardless of immigration status.

Street Homeless Outreach Program

The Street Homeless Outreach Program engages with individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness across Staten Island. Outreach teams work around the clock to build trust and connect individuals with services that can help them transition into safe and appropriate housing.

Carpenter House Safe Haven

Carpenter House Safe Haven provides transitional housing in a supportive, semi-private environment for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. Staff work closely with residents to address barriers to stability and help them toward permanent housing solutions.

Additional Referral-Only Housing

Project Hospitality also provides longer-term housing options for individuals and families who need ongoing support to maintain stability. These programs have specific eligibility requirements and referral pathways and are not available through open enrollment.

Hospitality House Family Shelter

Hospitality House provides temporary housing and support services for families with children experiencing homelessness. Staff work alongside families during difficult times, helping them access resources, navigate often complex systems, and prepare them for a return to independent living.

Richmond Family Residence

Richmond Family Residence provides supportive housing for adult families experiencing homelessness, including parents with an adult child with a disability and married or domestic partners without children. Residents receive on-site case management, counseling, employment assistance, and housing advocacy to help them build stability and prepare for permanent housing.

From Shelter to Stability

Our housing services follow a person-centered framework that meets individuals where they are. Staff recognize the impact of trauma and work to provide support in ways that promote dignity, stability, and long-term housing outcomes while actively working to avoid retraumatization.
