The Rev. Darlene Williams pilots Project Hospitality, a Staten Island nonprofit caring for people with HIV, AIDS, addiction and mental illness. The organization’s continuum of care addresses clients’ basic needs, such as food, shelter and clothing, extending to healthcare, transitional housing and vocational training.

On Thursday morning, Staten Island-based nonprofit Project Hospitality, in partnership with the city’s Department of Homeless Services and the Garden of Dreams Foundation, unveiled a fully renovated playground and basketball court at its Family Shelter in St. George, with Knicks legend John Starks on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Friends, members of religious organizations, Project Hospitality staff, past and present, came together to honor the Rev. Dr. Terry Troia at the Hilton Garden Inn, Bloomfield, on June 16, 2026.
