Youth Services
Stability Starts With Support
For young people experiencing homelessness, we provide access to safe housing and consistent support.
Our Youth Support Services provide transitional housing and a 24/7 drop-in center where youth can access life-saving resources to help cope with and resolve the everyday challenges they face.
How We Support Staten Island’s Youth
Project Hospitality’s Youth Services provide on-site case management designed to help young people build independence and long-term stability.
Services We Provide:
Through on-site case management, youth receive:
Basic life skills training
Educational programs
Vocational training and referrals
Job placement assistance
Counseling and mental health services
Housing referrals and placement
Family reunification assistance, when appropriate
A Person-Centered Approach
Project Hospitality’s Youth Services team follows a person-centered approach that meets young people where they are. We recognize the impact of trauma and work to provide support in a way that promotes stability while actively avoiding retraumatization.
Within a structured environment, members build the confidence to navigate challenges and develop the skills needed to live independently.
Finding Success Through Support
For many young people, access to stable housing and consistent guidance can change the trajectory of their lives.
From Instability to Independence
One participant in the Transitional Independent Living program set a goal to pursue a Master’s degree in Statistical Sciences. During his time in the program, he remained focused on his education while building the stability needed to succeed.
He successfully completed his degree, secured full-time employment with the New York City Board of Education, and now lives independently in his own apartment.
Stories like this reflect how access to housing, guidance, and support can help young people move from instability toward long-term independence and success.
