When formerly homeless families to move into their new homes, they need help furnishing them. With the aid of generous community members, Project Hospitality is able to provide used furniture for these households. In considering what you might donate, please take into account that most of these families are moving to apartments that may not have space for larger items.
The following items (clean and in excellent condition) are always needed:
- Kitchen or smaller-size dining tables with matching chairs (hutches, china closets, and breakfronts are not needed)
- Beds that are twin, full, or queen size; this includes frames and headboards, mattresses, and box springs (king size and platform beds are not needed)
- Dressers, chests of drawers, and night tables
- Sofas, sofa beds, love seats, and armchairs
- End tables and coffee tables
- Household items such as workable microwaves, toaster ovens, toasters, blenders, pots and pans, dinnerware and utensils, etc. Dinnerware and other breakable items should be boxed and sealed and free of chips and cracks (Large household appliances are not needed)
- Televisions in good working order, preferably with 13", 19", or 27" screens
