Mental Health Services The HIV Mental Health program provides crisis stabilization, medication management, and individual therapy for dually or triply diagnosed (HIV & MICA/CAMI) individuals. This is an intensive mental health program offering psychiatry,evaluation, and mental health treatment by trained and credentialed clinicians. The HIV Supportive Counseling program is a mental health wellness program for HIV individuals and families who are coping with their HIV/AIDS diagnosis. The program has skilled counselors who perform individual and group work services to enable participants to remain connected to health care and promote family stability. This program is a structured,evidence based program utilizing the renown Seeking Safety curriculum. Services include: intensive supportive services and trauma counseling, case management services for clients not eligible for COBRA, as well as individual and group psycho-deucation designed to teach coping skills, maintenance of good health, and freedom from substace use/abuse. Additionally this program provides treatment adherence services and structured socialization. Eligibility applies to HIV+ women and families who have a history of, or current exposure to traumatizing life events coupled with substance use/dependence. The goal of this program is to provide mental health assessment, substance use screening, medical assessments, and health and nutrition related group education to senior citizens; This component of care is linked to mobile food pantry services.
